Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Pietà Hotspurs duo Antonio Orlando Macedo Neto and Christian Grech were handed a four-match ban and three-match ban respectively. Fernando Barbosa Pereira (Gzira), Kevin Tulimieri (Hamrun), Arian Mrsulja (Senglea) were all suspended for one match.

Tony will miss the Hotspurs’ next four matches against Balzan, Mosta, Valletta and Floriana. Grech will also skip the Balzan, Mosta and Valletta games. Senglea could not count on Mrsulja for the match against Valletta, Hamrun will lack Tulimieri for the game against Mosta while Fernando Barbosa will skip Gzira vs Birkirkara.

In Division 1, Bjorn Bondin (Qrendi), and Clayton Giordimaina (Zejtun) were suspended for one match. Santa Lucia physical trainer Nigel McCarthy was banned for one match.

Karl Saliba (Kalkara), Ethan Jay Goodman (Rabat) and Edafe Christopher Uzeh (St. George’s) were banned for one match in Division 2.

In Division 3, Pierre Muscat (Ta’ Xbiex) were suspended for five matches while Giuseppe Versace (Dingli), Daniele Vittorio Marsala (Gharghur), Steve Baldacchino (Marsaskala) and Yaron Sammut (Mdina) were all banned for one match.
