Luxol joined Valletta in the Futsal Knock-Out final after finding no difficulty in beating Pietà Hotspurs 9-0.
George Frendo converted a penalty on the 4th minute and six minutes later Frendo had his second with a fierce shot near the touch line. Luxol added more goals through Zvezdan Vukovic, Chris Cardona, Aidan Micallef, Maicon Silva Gaiewski’s brace and two own goals by Christian Wismayer and Paul Scerri.
Meanwhile all eyes were on the clash of the titans between Valletta and Luxol, before the two face each other in both the Elite Play Offs and the Knock Out Final.
Luxol made sure to end the Elite round on top after winning 7-2. Luxol had Maicon Silva Gaiewski’s hat-trick, Zvezdan Vukovic’s brace and a goal apiece for Andy Mangion and Emil Andrei Raducu.
In other matches, Tarxien Rainbows defeated Birkirkara 6-5 while University of Malta beat Swieqi United 5-1.
In the First Division, Pietà Hotspurs registered a 6-4 win over UM Futsal Academy to be crowned champions.
