Sliema Wanderers forward Younes Marzouk is the BOV Player of the Month for March 2019.
Marzouk is described as very skillful with the ball and not clumsy in front of goal. He has the profile of a modern striker, able to play both as a striker advanced than that of playmaker.
The French born player on loan from FC Lugano made his mark in the Sliema ranks especially during March where he scored 4 of his 8 goals including a very important one against league contenders Hibernians.
Leading 1-0 against Hibernians, Marzouk received the ball from a short corner on the 41st minute and let fly an audacious cross-shot that finished behind a clueless Jovicic.
In Sliema’s previous match against Mosta, Marzouk was the protagonist scoring 2 or Sliema’s 3 goals, heading in his first and hitting a rising shot past a helpless Vella en-route to a 3-1 win.
Marzouk also put his name on the scoresheet against Hamrun, hitting a scorcher in a match where he was also voted Player of the Match.
Charles Azzopardi, Executive PR & Marketing presented the BOV Player of the Month trophy for March 2019 to Marzouk who chose The Ursuline Creche to benefit from the donation related to this award.
