Narrow win puts Valletta five points clear

Leaders Valletta moved five points clear after defeating Tarxien Rainbows 1-0 at the National Stadium on Saturday. Second-placed Hibernians, however, have a game in hand.

Miguel Angel Alba scored the all-important goal on 29 minutes with a powerful drive from outside the area which gave goalkeeper Maverick Buhagiar no chance.
