BOV GFA Player of the Month: Emiliano Lattes wins last individual award of the season

Victoria Hotspurs’ Emiliano Lattes is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for April 2019.

The Argentinian midfielder joined the Spurs’ at the beginning of last season and proved to be a very versatile pawn in Gotthard Conti’s side which won the league last year and with the BOV League and BOV GFA Cup Double this season.

Victoria Hotspurs obtained full points from their four outings during April to obtain mathematical certainty of the title. Lattes scored the decisive goal in Victoria’s 2-1 win over SK Victoria Wanderers and scored the fifth goal in their 7-2 win over Xewkija Tigers to secure the title. He also scored his team’s last goal of the league in their 4-2 win over Nadur Youngsters before receiving their BOV GFA League Trophy.

This is 34 year old Lattes’ third season in Gozitan Football following his stint in the BOV Premier League where he played for Msida St. Joseph, Sliema Wanderers, Birkirkara, Marsaxlokk, Hamrun Spartans, St. Andrews and Naxxar Lions.

Horace Laudi, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta presented the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy to Lattes at the end of the BOV GFA Cup Final, which saw Victoria Hotspurs victorious beat Nadur Youngsters 3-2 with Emiliano scoring the winning goal during extra time. The player chose Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
