Sirens sign David Cassar, Siraj Arab Eddin

Newly-promoted Premier League side Sirens FC signed David Cassar and Siraj Arab Eddin.

Thirty-one year old goalkeeper David Cassar started his career with the Pietà Hotspurs nursery but eventually moved to the Paola Hibs nursery. Cassar spent three years on loan with St. Patrick and then two years on loan with Tarxien Rainbows before making his move to the Rainbows on a definite transfer in 2011. He spent two years on loan with Pietà in season 2013/14 and 2014/15 and two years on loan with Hamrun Spartans in 2015/16 and 2016/17. In summer 2017, he moved to Birkirkara but last January, joined Qormi on loan.

Twenty-five year old Siraj Arab Eddin started his career at Pembroke Athleta, joining Valletta at an early age. He spent two years on loan with Vittoriosa Stars in seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14. For the next two years, Arab was loaned to Pembroke Athleta. He was transferred to Pembroke in summer 2016 but moved to Hamrun Spartans in January where he spent one year. In January 2018, he moved to Balzan. Last January, he was loaned to Tarxien Rainbows.

Sirens had earlier signed Brazilian right back Romeu Péricles Romão while Ryan Grech and Andrea Curmi extended their stay with the club for another season.
