Manuel Bartolo to stay with Hamrun Spartans

Goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo will be playing once again for Hamrun Spartans after agreeing another one-year deal with the club.

A product of San Gwann, Bartolo joined Msida St. Joseph in January 2006 on loan and on a definite transfer the following summer. He was loand to Birkirkara in season 2010/11 and Floriana in 2011/12. He moved to Valletta in summer 2012. He was loaned to Balzan for the latter part of season 2013/14 and to Zebbug for the latter part of season 2014/15. In summer 2016, after starring for Valletta in the UEFA Champions League commitments, Manuel Bartolo joined Mosta in August. The following season, he played for San Gwann in Division 1 but joined Hamrun Spartans last year.

The Spartans had earlier secured the services of Jean Claude Debattista and Italian players Nicola Leone, Umberto Varriale and Leonardo Nanni and Maurizio Maraucci.
