Gzira United continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Brazilian striker Jefferson Mateus de Assis Estácio.
The twenty-four year old moved to Malta in summer 2017 where he spent eighteen months before moving to Nadur Youngsters in Gozo last January. Earlier in his career, Jefferson had only played in Brazil for a host of clubs including GO Audax, UA Barbarense, Coritiba, Andraus, Novo Hamburgo and Sao Jose.
The Maroons had earlier secured the services of Arthur Henrique Oyama, Hamed Koné, Elvis Sakyi and Ridwaru Olatunde Adeyemo. Amadou Samb will be staying with the club but Haruna Garba and Roderick Briffa moved elsewhere.
