Valletta signed thirty-two year old Brazilian attacking midfielder Douglas Ricardo Packer.

Douglas Packer started his career with Ipatinga FC and also played for Betim EC at youth level before moving to Italy at the age of 18 to join Juventus. However he was loaned to Siena. During his time at Siena, he had spells on loan with Pescara, Ravenna and Parana. On moving back to Brazil, he played for Cuiaba EC, and Botafogo before returing to Europe to join Ermis Aradippou in Cyprus. Later, he played for SER Caxias do Sul and Guarani in Brazil, Sudtirol in Italy, Barito Putera in Indonesia and Clube do Remo in Brazil.

On Monday, the Citizens had announced the signing of Kevin Tulimieri.
