Newly-promoted Sirens FC signed Brazilian forward Wellington Oliveira Vieira.

Twenty-five year old Wellington Petinha therefore starts his third spell in Malta after playing for Tarxien Rainbows in the latter part of season 2017/18 and Qormi in the latter part of last season. Before moving to Malta, he had played for Bangu FC in Brazil, Atletico Reguengos and Alcanenense in Portugal.

Sirens, who appointed Steve D’Amato as their new coach, replacing Vince Carbonaro, have earlier signed David Cassar, Adrian Borg, Siraj Arab Eddin and Romeu Pericles Romao apart from renewing the contract of Angel Manuel Bustos and Ratko Mandic.
