Ryan Scicluna joins Balzan on loan

FA Trophy winners Balzan FC secured the services of twenty-six year old midfielder Ryan Scicluna on loan from Birkirkara.

A product of the Stripes, Scicluna made his Premier League debut in season 2010/10. He soon became a regular choice for Birkirkara, earning a place in the national squad.

However, he spent the whole of last season on the sidelines due to a nagging injury.

Balzan have earlier signed former Birkirkara goalkeeper Kristijan Naumovski, Dutch defender Augustine Loof, Serbian winger Stefan Dimic and Brazilian attacking midfielder Arthur Faría Machado.

The club has confirmed Jacques Scerri as coach while Andrea Pisanu – the former Cagliari, Siena, Verona, Varese, Parma, Bologna, Prato and Montreal Impact midfielder who ended his career as a player with Sliema Wanderers before taking the role of coach at Melita, has been appointed as assistant coach.
