Kercem Ajax and Nadur Youngsters were the first two teams to secure a place in the second round of the FA Trophy along with clubs from the First and Second Division after they emerged as winners in two matches from the first round at the Gozo Stadium on Friday.
In the first match, Kercem Ajax found no difficulty in beating Munxar Falcons 5-0.
Milos Perisic put Kercem ahead on the 13th and Thomas Vella doubled the score on the 63rd. Borja Polo Longarela scored on the 70th and 86th with Milos Perisic adding another on the 90th.
Kercem take on Fgura United in the second round.
Meanwhile, Nadur Youngsters scored four in the second half as they defeated Oratory Youths 4-0, courtesy of Johan Alberto Castano on the 48th and substitutes Predrag Djordjevic on the 71st, Brandon Said on the 74th and Marcelo Barbosa on the 89th.
In the second round, Nadur will be facing Vittoriosa Stars.
