Qrendi defeated Vittoriosa Stars 2-1 in one of the two matches from the BOV First Division in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

Alex Nilsson put Qredi ahead on the 16th minute and five minutes later, Dhonatan Santos da Hora doubled the score. Oscar Guerrero converted a penalty on the 70th to reduce the gap for Vittoriosa.

In another match, Swieqi United and Naxxar Lions shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Roderick Taliana put Swieqi ahead on the 18th minute but three minutes in the second half, Jurgen Debono equalised. Ibrahim Salis restored the lead for Swieqi but Gilberto Carrara Martins Leite rescued a point for Naxxar with a penalty on the 94th minute.
