Xaghra United, Xewkija Tigers and Attard were the last three teams to reach the second round of the FA Trophy as three first round matches were played on Sunday.

At the Gozo Stadium, Xaghra United beat Ghajnsielem 3-1.

Raffael De Souza Ferreira put Xaghra ahead on the 11th minute and Rodrigo Ost Dos Santos doubled the score on the 34th. Ghajnsielem reduced the gap thanks to an Igor Nedeljkovic penalty two minutes later. However Ander Gonzalo Lago restored the lead on the 68th minute.

In the next round, Xaghra will be facing Victoria Hotspurs.

In another match at the Gozo Stadium, Xewkija Tigers left it till late to beat Gharb Rangers 2-0 courtesy of Claudio Antunes Pavlidis on the 78th and Johnny Camilleri on the 93rd minute.

Xewkija meet Birzebbuga St. Peter’s in the next round.

At the Luxol Stadium, Attard defeated Msida St. Joseph 2-1 in a clash between two Third Division sides. Christian Farrugia put Attard ahead on the 26th minute and Bledi Alla doubled the score on the 45th. Msida scored a consolation goal five minutes from time thanks to an own goal.

Attard will be facing Zabbar St. Patrick in the second round.
