Thanks to a 4-0 win over Attard, Ghaxaq had an excellent start as the BOV Third Division League kicked-off at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Jurgen Gerada put Ghaxaq ahead on the half-hour and an own goal made it 2-0 three minutes later. Gerada scored again one minute in the second half and Uros Markovic added another on the 73rd.

In another match, a goal by Joseph Chetcuti on the hour handed Marsaskala a 1-0 win over Dingli Swallows.
