Marsaskala registered a most impressive 7-0 win over Ta’ Xbiex at the Luxol Stadium in one of the four matches in programme from the BOV Third Division on Sunday.
Radnor Farrugia converted a penalty after just one minute and Adrian Bonavia doubled the score on the 7th minute. Joseph Chetcuti scored a third goal on the 10th minute and just past the half hour, Bonavia made it 4-0. Radnor Farrugia scored twice on the 49th and 50th before Margeith Scicluna added another on the 62nd minute.
In another match at the Luxol Stadium, Gharghur defeated Mtarfa 4-2 in an entertaining clash.
Allan Fernandes Moreira put Gharghur ahead on the 28th minute but Darren Farrugia equalised a minute later and Matthew Buhagiar put Mtarfa 2-1 ahead two minutes from the end of the first half. However during the second half, Trevor Cilia equalised on the 51st and goals by Nicholas Formosa on the 73rd and Omar Smeir two minutes from time handed Gharghur the three points.
Meanwhile at the Sirens Stadium, Kirkop United and Ghaxaq shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Clint Vassallo put Ghaxaq ahead four minutes from the end of the first half but Kenneth Ekezie equalised ten minutes from time.
In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Msida St. Joseph defeated Mdina Knights 1-0 thanks to a goal by Kurt Zahra on the 65th.
