Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commisioner following the weekend’s matches. 

Joseph Mbong (Hibernians), Gabriel Bohrer Mentz (Santa Lucia), Adrian Borg and Emmanuel Okoye (Sirens) and Seydou Sow (Sliema) were all banned for one match. 

Borg and Okoye will be missing the clash with Birkirkara, Mbong skips the clash with Gzira, Sow is ruled out of the Old Firm derby against Floriana and Bohrer Mentz the game against Balzan.  

Joey Reno Vella (Fgura), Neil Frendo (Pembroke) and Loumar Cutajar (St. George’s) were banned for one match in Division 1. 

In Division 2, Melchior Grech (Birzebbuga), Mark Borg (Rabat) and Jake Bowman (San Gwann) were handed a one-match ban while Marsa official Paul Sciberras was suspended for three matches. 

Nicholas Formosa (Gharghur) was suspended for three matches while Isaac Chircop and Fabio Muscat (Msida) in Division 3.
