Late goal hands Mosta narrow win

After beating Hamrun Spartans in their previous outing, Mosta collected another three points as a late goal handed them a narrow win over Santa Lucia at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Mosta therefore join Gzira United and Hibernians in fourth place, four points behind leaders Floriana.

For Santa Lucia, this was the second defeat in three matches after they collected just one point in a draw with Senglea in their last game.

Mosta scored the all-important goal one minute from time thanks to Momodou Salieu Jallow who headed the ball home following an inviting cross by Weverton Gomes.
