Kirkop United and Marsaskala lead the way in the BOV Third Division following the two matches in programme at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Kirkop defeated Ta’ Xbiex 4-0 thanks to goals by Karl Caruana on the 22nd, Kenneth Ekezie on the 43rd, Darren Darmanin on the 85th and Karl Caruana once again on the 88th.

In another match, Marsaskala and Mtarfa shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Danjel Grima put Mtarfa ahead on the 15th minute but a brace by Clifton Piscopo on the 36th and 56th turned the score in Marsaskala’s favour. However Cleavon Frendo equalised on the 67th.

Kirkop and Marsaskala lead the way with 8 points, followed by Ghaxaq, Gharghur and Siggiewi on 7, Attard 6, Msida 4, Mtarfa 3, Sta. Venera 2, Mdina 1, Dingli and Ta’ Xbiex 0.
