Champions Valletta will be hoping to bounce back with a win as they take on Gudja United at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday, kick-off at 15:00.
The Citizens won just one out of the last four matches being held in draws by Floriana and Birkirkara and losing to Gzira United. They are currently ninth on eight points, four ahead of Gudja United.
The newly-promoted side lost their last two matches to Floriana and Balzan after claiming four points from the first four matches thanks to draws. They are currently second from bottom.
Meanwhile in the second match, kick-off at 17:15, Tarxien Rainbows face Balzan.
The Rainbows are the only team without any points after losing their first six matches. Balzan, on the other hand, are currently tenth on seven points. They defeated Gudja 1-0 in their last outing after suffering three defeats from the previous four matches.
