Under-17 side suffers third defeat in Norway

The Malta Under-17 national team lost 4-0 to Bulgaria in the last match from Group 13 of the UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying round at the Raufoss Stadion in Raufoss, Norway on Wednesday.

Biser Bonev put Bulgaria ahead eight minutes from the end of the first half. Martin Smolenski doubled the score on the 69th and two minutes from time, the same player added another. One minute in added time, substitute Plamen Tsonchev made it 4-0.

Malta therefore ended its commitments without any points in Group 13. Austria emerged as winners with maximum points from three matches, followed by Norway on six and Bulgaria on three.
