St. George’s bounced back in style from the back-to-back defeats to Lija and Vittoriosa as they registered a 3-0 win over Pietà Hotspurs in one of the two BOV First Division matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Fgura United also returned to winning ways as they defeated Vittoriosa Stars 2-0 in the clash between the two bottom teams. Sergio Hili put them ahead on the 20th and Gilbert Martin doubled the score on the 80th.

Lija lead the way with 18 points, followed by Pieta’ on 13, St. Andrews and Qrendi 11, Naxxar 10, Zejtun 9, St. George’s, Zebbug and Qormi 8, Swieqi, Pembroke and Mqabba 7, Fgura 6 and Vittoriosa 4.
