Nadur Youngsters and Xaghra United were the first two teams to reach the semi-finals of the GFA First Division Knock-Out as they won the two quarter-finals in programme at the Kercem Ajax Stadium on Sunday.

Second-half goals by Predrag Djordjevic on the 47th, Hugo Santa Rosa Cruz on the 84th and Marcelo Junior Barbosa one minute from time handed Nadur Youngsters a 3-0 win over SK Victoria Wanderers.

On the other hand, a goal three minutes in the second half by Kennedy Martins Ribeiro gave Xaghra United a narrow win over Kercem Ajax.

Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, Sannat Lions defeated Oratory Youths 3-1 in a top-of-the-table clash at the Kercem Ajax Stadium on Saturday.

Ebube Ralph Okpokwu put Sannat ahead on the half-hour and Joseph Zammit doubled the score on the 77th. Antoine Camilleri extended the lead thanks to a penalty on the 85th with Justin Azzopardi scoring a consolation goal in added time.

In another match, St. Lawrence Spurs defeated Munxar Falcons 3-1 thanks to goals by Matthias Michael Uzor on the 2nd, Charlon Farrugia on the 51st and another goal by Uzor on the 65th with Luke Cilia reducing the gap for the Falcons on the 73rd.
