The Malta Under-19 side lost 0-3 to Slovakia in the second game from Group 6 of the UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying round at the Stadio Romeo Neri in Rimini, Italy on Saturday.
Samuel Lavrincik put Slovakia ahead after just four minutes, Erik Basista doubled the score on the 25th and Jan Bernat added another on the 33rd. Two minutes before the third goal, Malta had Karl Mohnani sent off.
Malta plays the third and final match on Tuesday against Cyprus.
