Attard moved back on top the BOV Third Division table thanks to a fine 3-0 over Gharghur at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.
Nicholas Schembri put Attard ahead late in the first half and Raphael Kooh Sohna doubled the score a minute later. Nicholas Schembri sealed the issue with a third goal six minutes in the second half.
In another match at the Centenary Stadium, a goal by Ryan Grech four minutes in the second half handed Sta. Venera Lightnings their first win as they beat Dingli Swallows 1-0.
Kirkop United registered a dramatic win over Mdina Knights as they came from behind to beat them 3-1 with two goals in the dying minutes at the Luxol Stadium. Jason Good put Mdina ahead on the 13th minute but Dylan Lee Tanti equalised on the 56th. Kenneth Ekezie made it 2-1 on the 90th with Ayrton Buhagiar adding another in added time.
Mtarfa and Ghaxaq, on the other hand, shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Jean Scholey put Mtarfa ahead two minutes from the end of the first half but Ghaxaq turned the score in their favour with a brace by Ian Calleja on the 64th and 73rd. However two minutes from time, Darren Farrugia levelled matters for Mtarfa.
