A brace by Ousmane Sidibe handed Vittoriosa Stars a 2-1 win over Swieqi United in one of the three BOV First Division matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.
Sidibe put Vittoriosa ahead on the 33rd minute and Ibrahim Salis levelled matters on the 40th. The game was interrupted early in the second half due to the heavy rain which hit Ta’ Qali. When the game resumed, Sidibe notched the winner on the 98th minute.
Pieta’ Hotspurs defeated Fgura United 2-1. Jose Lucas Caetano da Silva converted a penalty on the 79th minute to hand Pieta’ the lead and one minute later, substitute James Scicluna doubled the score. Alejandro Toncheff pulled one back for Fgura five minutes from time thanks to a penalty.
A goal by Saturday Nanapere on the 78th minute handed Zebbug Rangers a narrow win over Mqabba.
