Eight Premier League players suspended

Eight Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Ryan Camenzuli (Floriana), Hubert Vella (Gudja), Leonardo Nanni (Hibernians), Sergio Leonardo Villareal (Mosta), Marcelo Dias and Mirko Todorovic (Senglea), Flavio Cheveresan (Sirens), Brandon Muscat (Tarxien) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s games.

Ryan Camenzuli is ruled out of the game against Sliema, Flavio Cheveresan will miss the game against Birkirkara, Leonardo Nanni the match against Gzira; Dias, Todorovic and Muscat the clash between Senglea and Tarxien, Vella and Villareal the game between Mosta and Gudja.

Joshua Barbara (Fgura), Josef Dalli and Adolphus Nagbe Marshall (St. George’s) were banned for one match in Division 1.

In Division 2, Aaron Agius (Kalkara), Joseph Fenech (Luqa), Ryan Cauchi and Ryan Micallef (Marsaxlokk), Javier Alejandro Jimenez (Rabat), Owen Spiteri (San Gwann) and Clint Barbara (Zabbar) were handed a one-match ban while Luke Sant (Mellieha) and Marsaxlokk official Daniel Tabone were both banned for two matches.

On the other hand, in Division 3, Gianluca Theuma (Dingli), Adam Pace (Gharghur), Jean Claude Vella (Kirkop), Christian Grech (Mdina), David Zammit (Mtarfa) were all suspended for one match.
