Kirkop United returned to winning ways as they defeated Marsaskala 2-1 in one of the two BOV Third Division matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Kenneth Ekezie put Kirkop ahead on the 8th minute but eight minutes later, Marsaskala equalised thanks to a Vince Camilleri penalty. However eight minutes in the second half, another penalty, this time for Kirkop and converted by Dylan Lee Tanti, handed them the three points.

In another match, Ghaxaq defeated Siggiewi 2-1.

Dean Agius put Ghaxaq ahead on the 35th minute but Siggiewi equalised through Andre Farrugia six minutes later. Jurgen Gerada notched the winner on the 77th minute.

Attard lead the way with 22 points, followed by Kirkop on 21, Ghaxaq and Siggiewi 20, Msida 17, Gharghur 16, Dingli and Marsaskala 10, Sta. Venera and Mtarfa 6, Ta’ Xbiex 4 and Mdina 2.
