Ten Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.
Aleksandar Kosoric (Balzan), Maurizio Vella (Birkirkara), Fernando Barbosa and Jefferson de Assis (Gzira), Andrei Agius, Marcio Leandro Barbosa da Silveira and Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs), Gonzalo Nicolas Virano (Senglea), Brooke Farrugia and Destin Mambouana (Tarxien) were all banned for one match.
Agius, Leandro Barbosa and Kristensen are ruled out of the game against Gudja, Fernando Barbosa and Jefferson will skip the clash with rivals Hamrun, Kosoric will miss the next game against Sliema, Maurizio Vella is ruled out of Birkirkara vs Floriana while Farrugia and Mambouana will be unavailable for the clash against Mosta.
Hamrun offcial Luca Piscitelli was banned for two matches.
In Division 1, Carl Cassar (Lija), Kevin Camilleri and Kurt Magro (Mqabba), Aleksandar Vujovic (Pembroke), James Scicluna (Pieta’), Luca Martinelli (Qrendi), Ian Azzopardi (St. Andrews), Gaynor D’Amato (St. George’s) and Neil Tabone (Zejtun) were all banned for one match while Lija official Colin Ciantar was handed a four-match ban.
Jean Pierre Attard (Melita), Andrew Zammit (Rabat) and Ivan Bojovic (Zurrieq) were suspended for one match in Division 2 while in Division 3, Radnor Farrugia (Marsaskala) was suspended for three matches with Daniel Cilia (Dingli), Rio Micallef (Ghaxaq), Eman Camilleri (Marsaskala), Cachel Vella (Mdina), Romario Brignone and Ikechukwu Igwemeke (Siggiewi) all being handed a one-match ban.
