Pembroke Athleta registered a third win on the trot as they defeated Pieta’ Hotspurs 2-0 in one of the two BOV First Division matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday. For the Hotspurs, this was the third consecutive defeat.
Djordje Isakovic put Pembroke ahead eight minutes in the second half and Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza seasled the issue with a second goal on the 90th.
In another match, St. George’s defeated Zebbug Rangers 2-1.
Dylan Caruana put St. George’s ahead on the 14th minute and Leeroy Bonett doubled the score on the 38th. Clive Brincat scored a consolation goal for Zebbug two minutes from time.
