Zejtun Corinthians keep marching on in the BOV First Division as they defeated Swieqi United 2-1 in one of the two matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Jurgen Suda put Zejtun ahead on the 3rd minute and although Marko Ivanovic equalised on the 59th, Robeiro do Nascimento Santos notched winner on the 72nd minute.

In another match, Vittoriosa Stars and St. Andrews earned a point each in a 1-1 draw.

Kemar Reid put St. Andrews ahead five minutes in the second half and Renan Farias Bigode levelled matters for Vittoriosa on the 64th

Zejtun lead the way with 27 points, followed by Lija on 22, St. Andrews 21, Naxxar and Qrendi 20, Pembroke 19, Pieta’ 17, Zebbug 15, Swieqi 14, St. George’s 13, Qormi 12, Mqabba 10, Vittoriosa 9 and Fgura 7.
