Nadur Youngsters keep marching on in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division after defeating SK Victoria Wanderers 3-1 at the Gozo Stadium on Sunday.
Following a goalless first half, Marcelo Barbosa put the Youngsters ahead on the 52nd but a Njongo Priso penalty on the hour restored equilibrium. However an own goal restored the lead for Nadur three minutes later and Shaun Attard was quick to increase the lead on the 64th.
In another match, Ghajnsielem defeated Xaghra United 3-1. Igor Nedeljkovic put the Blacks ahead on teh 32nd minute and although Joseph George Vella equalised on the 63rd, another two goals by Nedeljkovic on the 68th and 69th handed Ghajnsielem the three points.
Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, the top-of-the-table clash between Sannat Lions and Oratory Youths was abandoned by referee Massimo Axisa one minute from time after assistant referee Andrea Pavia was assaulted by Antoine Camilleri of Sannat on the 90th minute.
Oratory were leading 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Justin Azzopardi on the 8th minute but in the dying minutes, Sannat had Daniel Borg and Antoine Camilleri sent off.
In another match, Qala Saints came from behind to beat Zebbug Rovers 2-1. A penalty by Tiago Barbosa put Zebbug ahead on the 34th but Felipe Augusto de Oliveira scored on the 37th and 89th for Qala to hand them the three points.
