Leaders Attard registered a most comfortable 7-1 win over Ghaxaq in one of the two BOV Third Division matches in programme at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday. Attard therefore move six points clear of Kirkop and Msida.

Christian Farrugia put Attard ahead on the 6th minute and Jurgen Gauci doubled the score on the 19th. Dean Agius pulled one back for Ghaxaq on the 25th but Jurgen Gauci scored again for Attard to make it 3-1. Nicholas Schembri increased the lead on the 70th with Jamie Delia adding another on the 75th. In the dying minutes, Attard scored another two goals through Nigel Spiteri on the 87th and Bledi Alla on the 88th.

On the other hand, the clash between Marsaskala and Dingli Swallows ended in a goalless draw.

Attard lead the way with 28 points, followed by Kirkop and Msida on 22, Ghaxaq 21, Siggiewi 20, Gharghur 19, Dingli 17, Marsaskala 12, Mdina 11, Mtarfa 10, Sta. Venera 6 and Ta’ Xbiex 4.
