Czech side FK Mladá Boleslav won the second edition of the Tipsport Malta Cup after defeating FC Zbrojovka Brno on penalties following a 1-1 draw at the National Stadium on Monday.
Mladá Boleslav, who are currently fifth in the Czech top division, won 4-3 on penalties. In the semi-finals, they had defeated FC DAC Dunajska Streda of Slovakia 5-0 in the first semi-final on Saturday.
Zbrojovka Brno, who lie in third place in the Czech second division, had defeated FC Banik Ostrava from the Czech top division 3-2 in the other semi-final.
DAC Dunajska Streda, who are joint-second in Slovakia, finished third after defeating Banik Ostrava 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the final for third place.
