Jorge Santos Silva joins Hibernians

Hibernians signed Brazilian thirty-two year old striker Jorge Santos Silva.

This will be Jorge Silva’s second spell with the Paolites after spending season 2015/16 with the club.

After starting his career in Brazil, he moved to Daegu in South Korea and after a spell with Chapadao in Brazil, he moved to Malta where he played for Vittoriosa Stars. Later, he played for Sliema Wanderers and Birkirakra. He moved back to Brazil to play for Atletico Paranaense and America before returning to Malta to join Tarxien Rainbows. He later moved to Naxxar Lions from where he joined Hibernians. After leaving the club, he played for Al-Batin in Saudi Arabia, Johor Darul Ta’zim in Malaysia, Al Fujairah SC in the UAE, Al Qadisiyah and Al-Ta’ee in Saudi Arabia.

Hibernians lost Leonardo Nanni who moved back to Italy and released Terence Groothusen in December.
