Vittoriosa Stars returned to winning ways as they defeated Qrendi in one of the two BOV First Division matches in programme on Friday.
At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Vittoriosa defeated Qrendi 3-1.
Renan Sgaria Farias put Vittoriosa ahead on the 26th minute and six minutes in the second half, Ousmane Sidibe doubled the score. Sebastian Perdomo pulled one back for Qrendi five minutes later but a Gianluca Sultana penalty sealed the issue on the 90th.
In another match, St. Andrews were held in a goalless draw by Fgura United.
Zejtun lead the way with 28 points, followed by Lija and St. Andrews on 25, Qrendi 23, Naxxar and Pembroke 22, Pieta’ 18, Qormi, Swieqi and Zebbug 15, Mqabba and St. George’s 13, Fgura and Vittoriosa 12.
