Tarabai moves to Hibernians

Brazilian striker Edison Luis Dos Santos joined Hibernians after being released by Birkirkara.

Edison Tarabai first moved to Malta in summer 2010 to join Vittoriosa Stars after playing for Galo Maringa, Marcilio Dias and Rio Preto in Brazil. The following season, he joined Hibernians. In summer 2012, he moved to Hungary to join Kecskemeti but his stay lasted only six months, returning back with the Paolites. Between March 2015 and December 2016, he had two spells on loan with Seoul E-Land in South Korea, apart from a short spell back in Malta with the club. Since 2017, he has been playing in Saudi Arabia, turning out for Al Batin, Al Raed and Sholah. He joined Birkirkara last summer but failed to impress.

The Paolites had earlier signed Simone Mancini on loan from Pescara and welcomed back two former players of the club – Jorge Santos Silva and Edafe Christopher Uzeh.

Thirty-one year old Uzeh was on the books of Xewkija Tigers this season after playing for Valletta, Hibernians, Naxxar Lions, Qormi, St. Andrews, Fgura United, Siggiewi and St. George’s.
