Four Premier League players suspended

Four players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches. 

Matias Nicolas Garcia (Floriana), Joseph Essien Mbong (Hibs), Sigitas Olberkis and Jan Tanti (Senglea) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Garcia is ruled out of the clash with Gzira while Mbong, Olberkis and Tanti will skip Senglea vs Hibernians.

Balzan coach Jacques Scerri and Birkirkara team manager Michael Valenzia were also banned for one match. 

In Division 1, Charles Kenny Gandini (Fgura), Brandon Grech (Mqabba), Benjamin Essel and Mead Mifsud (Naxxar), Yanis Tonna (Pembroke), Bradley Schembri (Qormi), Luca Martinelli (Qrendi), Chris Matombo (Swieqi) were banned for one match.

In Division 2, Jacob Farrugia (Mellieha) was banned for two matches while Keith Fedele (Luqa), Christian Bajada (Melita), Jordan Debattista (Mellieha), Jake Bowman (San Gwann), Christian Magro (Xghajra), Luca Bugeja and Dylan Darmanin (Zurrieq) were handed a one-match ban. Mellieha official Joseph Fenech was suspended for two matches. 

Ghaxaq official Guido Agius was handed a four-match ban in Division 3. Bledi Alla and Ryan Caruana (Attard), Radovan Djuric (Ghaxaq), Wayne Camilleri (Mdina), Fabio Luca Muscat (Msida) and Ryan Grexh (Sta. Venera) were suspended for one match.
