Despite having a game in hand, Marsaxlokk joined Marsa on top the BOV Second Division thanks to a 4-0 win over Birzebbuga St. Peter’s at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

Pablo Cesar Doffo converted a penalty to put Marsaxlokk aehad on the 14th minute. Keith Muscat doubled the score on the 23rd and Ryan Micallef made it 3-0 on the 26th. Another goal by Ryan Micallef on the 50th sealed the issue for Edgar Degabriele’s side.

Marsa and Marsaxlokk lead the way with 34 points followed by San Gwann on 32, Rabat 31, Mgarr 30, Zurrieq 28, Melita 25, Kalkara 20, Mellieha 18, Zabbar 16, Birzebbuga 15, Xghajra 12 and Luqa 6.
