San Gwann bounced back from last week’s defeat to Xghajra Tornados as they defeated Melita 3-0 in a match from the BOV Second Division at the Luxol Stadium on Saturday.

Andrea Zammit put San Gwann ahead on the 18th, Nezar Abouhaisa doubled the score on the 29th and Zach Bowman sealed the issue with a third goal on the 36th

In another match, Zabbar St. Patrick held Mgarr United in a 1-1 draw.

An own goal put Mgarr ahead on teh 36th minute but Aud-Gustine James Obaje levelled matters on the 62nd minute.

Marsa lead the way with 37 points, followed by San Gwann on 35, Marsaxlokk 34, Mgarr and Rabat 31, Zurrieq 28, Melita 25, Kalkara 20, Mellieha 18, Zabbar 17, Birzebbuga 15, Xghajra 12 and Luqa 6.
