MFA asked to ratify GFA decision to bring to an end leagues in Gozo

The Gozo Football Association is recommending to the Malta Football Association to ratify a decision to bring to an end the 2019/20 season for the GFA competitions.

A number of meetings were held between Gozitan club representatives and the Gozo FA council and during one of these meetings, clubs voted to end the senior competitions as they stand.

Nadur Youngsters would be declared champions in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division as they lead the way with 39 points, eight ahead of Xewkija Tigers. Gharb Rangers would be relegated.

In the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, Sannat Lions would be declared champions as they lead the table with 40 points, four ahead of second-placed Oratory Youths.

A play-off between Oratory Youths and SK Victoria Wanderers who were second in Division 2 and second from bottom in Division 1 respectively remains pending with the MFA having to decide whether this would be played or not.
