Just one week after Valletta FC had announced that they had agreed terms with their coach until the end of season 2020/21, Giovanni Tedesco quit the club.
The former Floriana, Birkirkara, Hamrun Spartans and Gzira United coach turned down the offer to sign the new contract over the technical staff.
Tedesco took over the Citizens in February as they shared the top spot with one of his former teams, Floriana By match-day 20, Valletta were lying three points behind the Greens.
