Gzira United target fourth consecutive win

Gzira United will be aiming for a fourth consecutive win on Saturday as they take on Zejtun Corinthians in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium.

Senglea Athletic face Tarxien Rainbows in the other match.

All matches are being played behind closed doors. but fans are able to watch games thanks to the live-streaming service being offered by the Malta Football Association at https://live.mfa.com.mt/ apart from the usual two weekly matches which are broadcast on TVM 2 and/or TSN.

The clash between Senglea and Tarxien put against each other two of the three teams lying at the bottom of the table with just one point. After a defeat to Lija, Senglea earned their only point in a draw with Zejtun and are coming from three successive defeats to Hamrun, Sliema and Floriana. Tarxien lost their last two matches following a draw with Gzira and a narrow defeat to Balzan in their opening match.

Senglea could not count on the suspended Dibola Diwoto Junior.

After collecting just one point from the first two matches, the Maroons earned nine points thanks to wins over Valletta, Mosta and Lija Athletic to move second, two points behind leaders Hamrun Spartans. Zejtun, on the other hand, earned two points in draws with Santa Lucia and Senglea and lost narowly to Gudja but bounced back with a win over Birkirkara and a draw with Balzan.

Marcelo Pereira Muniz is ruled out for Zejtun as he serves a one-match ban.
