Pembroke Athleta stay two points clear on top the BOV Challenge League despite a 1-1 draw with Fgura United at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday.
Kane Farrugia put Pembroke ahead on the half-hour but Saturday Nanapere equalised three minutes in the second half.
San Gwann were held in another draw – this time, in a 1-1 draw by Qormi at the Centenary Stadium. Uchenna Calistus Umeh handed San Gwann the lead on the 12th minute but Ousmane Sidibe equalised on the 27th.
An own goal on the 70th minute handed Pieta’ Hotspurs their first win as they beat St. Andrews at the Luxol Stadium.
On the other hand, Zebbug Rangers registered a second consecutive win as they beat Naxxar Lions 3-0 thanks to a goal by Clive Gauci after two minutes and two late goals by Luka Mijic – a penalty on the 86th and a goal in stoppage time.
