Bojan Kaljevic puts Mosta back on track

Mosta returned to winning ways as they defeated Santa Lucia 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

This was the first win for Mosta in over a month as they were coming from back-to-back defeats to Gzira and Hibernians. Santa Lucia, on the other hand, failed to extend their positive run after beating Floriana and Tarxien and holding Valletta in a draw. The two teams now share the eighth place with Valletta on the 8-point mark.

Jamie Zerafa was unavailable for Santa Lucia as he served a one-match ban. Mosta, on the other hand, had Congolese international goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi making his debut.

Mosta scored the all-important goal on the 9th minute when Clayton Failla had a freekick deflected into a corner and from the resulting corner from the right by the same Failla, Bojan Kaljevic headed home past goalkeeper Andreas Vella.
