Nine-man Mosta hold Sirens in a draw

Despite having two players sent off, Mosta earned a point in a goalless draw with Sirens at the National Stadium on Sunday. A draw which put Mosta on level points with Valletta in sixth place, one ahead of Santa Lucia and four ahead of Floriana and Sirens.

Following a quiet first half, Mosta went close to taking the lead with a Johann Bezzina effort but Mosta replied with a Lamin Bittaye effort which was blocked by Mafoumbi who laster neutralised attempts by Hamed Kone and Samba Tounkara.

Mosta were reduced to ten men on the 74th minute as Clayton Failla received a second yellow card for a reckless tackle.

Kevin Tulimieri was also sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a reckless tackle, leaving his side in nine men.
