Senglea Athletic will be playing in the BOV Challenge League next season after a 1-5 loss to Mosta at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday mathematically condemned them to relegation.
Mosta, on the other hand, strengthen their sixth place with a third win in four matches.
The Blues forged ahead after just four minutes when off a Clayton Failla corner, Mifsud served William Donkin who scored from close range.
Senglea equalised on the 31st minute when off an assist by Freud Gnindokponou, Dibola Diwoto Junior beat goalkeeper Bitseki Moto with a rising shot.
Mosta regained the lead eight minutes in the second half when Kevin Tulimieri sent Michael Mifsud through and the latter slotted past goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.
Bojan Kaljevic made it 3-1 on the hour, placing the ball at the back of the net when served by Mifsud.
On the 66th, Bojan Kaljevic increased the lead further, heading the ball home off a cross by Michael Mifsud from the right.
Johann Bezzina scored Mosta’s fifth with a long distance shot which ended in the top right corner.
