National team players visit ongoing works at MFA Training Grounds

On the eve of flying out to Austria for a 12 day training camp with three friendly matches also lined up, the National Team players on Wednesday visited Ta’ Qali Training Grounds to view ongoing works.

This renovation project of National Teams training pitches has now entered Week #6 and is scheduled to be finalized by the end of August.

National Team Players will be hoping to return to this revamped base in the new season on the way shortly and prior to the eagerly awaited Group H World Cup Qualifier against Cyprus on September 1st.

Through this investment, the Malta FA aims to give the National Teams a state-of-the-art facility in terms of playing surface in which they can prepare for their international commitments.

At a cost of €2 million, this project also reflects the Association’s approach to further attract foreign teams to choose Malta for training purposes.
