Birkirkara reach next round following 1-1 draw in San Marino

Birkirkara held La Fiorita of San Marino in a 1-1 draw at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle in the second leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round on Thursday to qualify with a 2-1 aggregate score.

Birkirkara will therefore travel to Slovenia to meet Olimpija Ljubljana in the second qualifying round – first leg to be played in Slovenia next week.

Luke Montebello put Birkirkara ahead on the 53rd minute but five minutes later, the hosts equalised thanks to an own goal by Yannick Yankam.
