Sliema Wanderers secured the services of goalkeeper David Cassar.

Thirty-three year old goalkeeper David Cassar started his career with the Pietà Hotspurs nursery but eventually moved to the Paola Hibs nursery. Cassar spent three years on loan with St. Patrick and then two years on loan with Tarxien Rainbows before making his move to the Rainbows on a definite transfer in 2011. He spent two years on loan with Pietà in season 2013/14 and 2014/15 and two years on loan with Hamrun Spartans in 2015/16 and 2016/17. In summer 2017, he moved to Birkirkara but joined Qormi on loan in January 2019. In summer 2019, he signed for Sirens, spending the last two years with the club.

The Wanderers, who have confirmed coach Andrea Pisanu, had earlier signed Myles Beerman from Hibernians.
